Alexandria Real Estate Equities and Sea State LLC are exploring a purpose-built defense tech cluster in San Diego. Before any design decisions are made, we want to hear directly from the founders who would actually use it.

San Diego has 63 Navy ships homeported here, NAVWAR, NIWC Pacific, Camp Pendleton, and MCAS Miramar, generating nearly $20 billion a year in defense contracting activity. What the region lacks is a purpose-built environment where defense and dual-use companies can build hardware, run tests, work in classified environments, and access the investors and acquisition professionals who move programs forward. That gap is what this session is about.
